QUALIFICATIONS AND INSTRUCTIONS
1. Applicant must have been active in the performing arts during any of the four years of High School or more. This may include participation in extra-curricular activities such as community theatre, musical groups, dance companies, etc…
2. Applicant must have a grade point average of 2.5 or better
3. Applicant must fill out his/her portion of the application as completely as possible. Answer all questions carefully and thoughtfully.
4. Parent or Guardian must complete and sign the statement at the end of the application form.
5. A copy of current grades should accompany the completed application.
6. Two (2) letters of recommendation should also accompany the completed form:
• One (1) from a teacher and;
• One (1) from a member of the Community who is known to the applicant (employer, pastor, etc.) .

In an effort to promote local Agriculture involvement and support local farming and ranching families, Miner St. Meat Market and Siskiyou Distributing are proud to offer two $500 scholarships to graduating seniors from Yreka High School and Etna High School. Each year a deserving boy and girl from each school are selected to receive this prestigious award.
The selection is based on five areas: Academic Achievement, Community Service, Extra-Curricular School Activities, Financial Need and Participation in Agriculture related activities. Applicants are awarded points for participation and achievement in each area. Financial need is determined by the Estimated Family Contribution Score from the FAFSA form.
Interested students may obtain applications directly from Siskiyou Distributing or emailing info@SiskiyouDistributing.com. Care should be taken to submit complete and accurate applications as well as ALL supplemental documents that are required.
Completed applications with all related documents must be submitted by the closing date of Monday, May 7, 2018. Please make sure you have all signatures needed on these forms by the due date.

This scholarship will be awarded to a student who excels in the natural sciences, and who is planning to pursue a career in a life science profession. It is awarded based on achievement, motivation, and potential, as opposed to financial need.
Eligible students must be entering a 4-year college or university program in the 2018/2019 school year with a natural science related major such as environmental science, biology, or botany. Plant science or botany majors will be given preference. Please see that potential applicants at your school are made aware of this scholarship. Over the past 24 years, we have awarded one or more scholarships annually to students throughout Shasta Chapter’s region: Shasta, Siskiyou, Modoc, and Lassen counties. With the ever-increasing costs of college tuition and books, we hope that this assistance will help worthy students attain their educational goals. The Scott Valley Lions Club is providing a $500 scholarship to a graduating senior at Etna High School. This scholarship will be awarded based on academic achievement, community service, career goals, and your plans for future service to the Scott Valley community and/or society in general.

The Scott Valley Lions Club will be awarding a $500 scholarship to an Etna High graduating senior that is planning on attending a vocational/technical school after graduation. The scholarship will be awarded to a student that has demonstrated service to their community and has plans for future service to the Scott Valley community and/or society in general.

$1000 or (2) $500 Scholarships
This educational award is primarily for the student who wants to go to a trade or vocational school and who does not have the high grades to qualify for many scholarships.
Applicants must have lived in Scott Valley for the past five years.

The purpose of the Sacred Heart Altar Society Scholarship program is to provide financial assistance to graduating high school students of the Catholic faith who plan to continue their education at an accredited place of higher learning.
In order to be eligible for this scholarship, the applicant must be a member of Sacred Heart Church in Fort Jones, St. Mary’s Church in Etna, or All Saints Church in Happy Camp. The student must also participate in parish activities and attend Mass on a regular basis. Confirmation is preferred but will not exclude a student from receiving a scholarship if he/she demonstrates good standing in the Parish.
The amount of the scholarship will vary from $250 - $500 depending on the number of qualified applicants and the available funding. The scholarship award will be paid directly to the school of the student’s choice.
