A number of scholarships ranging in amounts from $250 to $3000 may be awarded to high school seniors attending school within the Sierra-Cascade Region, who plan to continue their academic studies at the College level in Agriculture, Natural Resources, Industrial Technology (welding, diesel mechanics...), or a related field. Preference will be given to students who have been active members of FFA – as well as participants in the Forestry Challenge Program. To be eligible for scholarships applicants must have demonstrated an excellent work ethic, commitment and leadership abilities while maintaining a 2.0 GPA or higher. This opportunity will prepare you for a stimulating career in natural resources management! We are seeking applicants for scholarships to pursue a Forestry Major at Humboldt State University in the Department of Forestry and Wildland Resources. The program will provide you with $6500 per year for three years to apply towards tuition and living expenses. As part of the program, scholars will participate in outdoor leadership experiences and classes in addition to their forestry coursework.
