A number of scholarships ranging in amounts from $250 to $2000 may be awarded to high school seniors attending school within the Sierra-Cascade Region, who plan to continue their academic studies at the College level in Agriculture, Natural Resources, Industrial Technology, or a related field. Preference will be given to students who have been active members of FFA – as well as participants in the Forestry Challenge Program. To be eligible for scholarships applicants must have demonstrated an excellent work ethic, commitment and leadership abilities while maintaining a 2.0 GPA or higher.

The Top of the State Unit of Backcountry Horsemen of California, Inc. has a $1,000.00 scholarship available to a vocational or academic student seeking an agriculture or natural resource education. This scholarship may be used at a community college, business college, technical institute, trade school, state college or university.
